The Course

This self-study, self-paced Dermatology Coding Correspondence Course is the first national certification course designed to educate and test individuals involved in claims processing and billing.  The course teaches students how to correctly and accurately code for dermatologic services.  Physicians, billing staff, and office managers should consider this unique certification credential.  Such certification may help in reducing audits and optimizing third party reimbursement legally and ethically.

The course is designed so that staff and providers can understand the nuances of dermatologic coding.

The cost of the Dermatology Coding Correspondence Course includes all study materials, the 14 chapter tests, and course support. Topics include:

Once the student has completed and successfully passed the tests for all 14 chapters, they will be eligible for the final certification exam. Since not every individual who signs up for the course will complete all 14 chapters, the cost of the final certification exam is not included in the correspondence course cost.

A handsome certificate will be mailed to newly certified coders. The certification is good for two years.

Accreditation

The Dermatology Coding Correspondence Course is accredited through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) for up to 30 (thirty) continuing education credits.  Only students that complete the course and pass the final exam will be eligible to receive CEUs.  A CEU certificate will be sent to graduates with their completion certificate
